Kat Armstrong was born in Houston, Texas, where the humidity ruins her Mexi-German curls. She is a powerful voice in today’s generation—a dynamic Bible teacher, innovative ministry leader, and prolific author who is passionate about encouraging curious Christians to explore Bible stories.

Kat holds a master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in Christian Education and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in New Testament Context at Houston Theological Seminary, where she studies under renowned scholars Drs. Scot McKnight and Lynn Cohick. Her academic background informs her accessible approach to teaching Scripture.

A sought-after keynote speaker and itinerant preacher, Kat regularly serves churches, conferences, and nonprofit organizations nationwide. Her clear communication style inspires audiences to engage deeply with the Bible and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. She is also the host of Holy Curiosity, a podcast produced by Christianity Today and The Center for Women in Leadership, where she highlights the genius storytelling of God.

Kat is the author of several books, including No More Holding Back and The In-Between Place, which challenge readers to embrace their God-given gifts and trust God in life’s most difficult spaces. She also created the Storyline Project, an 8-volume Bible study series that traces a person, place, or thing through the Scriptures through studies titled Mountains, Valleys, Sticks, Stones, Sinners, Saints, Gardens, and Deserts. And she was a contributor to The Message Bible: Women's Devotional.

Her next book release, Easy to Follow: Trading Toxic Leadership for the Way of Jesus (NavPress, October 2025), is co-authored with Lyle Wells, President of Integrus Leadership. Easy to Follow is a transformative guide for Christian leaders who are ready to break free from results-driven pressures that can harm integrity and exhaust teams.

Kat brings over a decade of executive experience to her current role as Senior Director of Marketing and Content Development at Integrus Leadership, where she focuses on creating practical tools to help faith-forward leaders grow in credibility and influence.

In 2008, Kat co-founded the Polished Network to embolden working women in their faith and work. She served as Executive Director for ten years, guiding the ministry from a single gathering of 20 women to a nationwide nonprofit reaching tens of thousands. Today, Polished is a proud part of 4Word Women, continuing its mission to support Christian women in the workplace.

Kat also contributes her expertise to several theological and leadership communities. She has served as a board member for Pillar Seminary, an ambassador for Seminary Now, and as a member of the Evangelical Theological Society.

Her writing has been featured in Christianity Today, Patheos, Logos, Proverbs 31, and Peer Magazine, and she has been a guest on numerous popular podcasts, including The Bema Podcast, The Daily Grace Podcast, The Biblical Mind, and The Alabaster Jar.

Kat lives in Dallas with her husband Aaron and their son Caleb. Together, they attend Christ Fellowship McKinney, where Aaron serves as the senior lead pastor. Married for over twenty years, Kat and Aaron have shared a life of ministry and mission that continues to shape leaders, churches, and communities across the country.
